My New Single "Lovers"

“Lovers” is a tribute to those that we have loved, and those that those we loved have loved…might be my most romantic, real, yearning tune I’ve ever written. 

It’s been a fascinating time in our household. Me writing a record about aging and love and the punk spirit of our youth, and my wife @ioneskyelee writing a memoir…the past has been on my mind and in our conversations… felt write to write a song about having a past that is full of gratitude. A grownup love song.

When I was thinking about the album artwork, I wanted an image of a real couple that was full of romance, hope, nostalgia but also recognizing the passing of time.

I texted Tim from Cub Sport cos I have been inspired by him and Sam’s love story. You can check out the text exchange that led to the single artwork in the slides below.
